Why SYSTEXX Active AcousTherm?
SYSTEXX Active AcousTherm is a woven glass fibre wallcovering that combines two high-performance functions in a single product: improved room acoustics and measurable energy savings. The acoustic non-woven fleece bonded to the reverse side absorbs sound effectively, while the integrated insulating layer significantly reduces heat loss through walls.
Thanks to its unique construction, this wallcovering is particularly suited to large, sparsely furnished spaces and high-traffic areas with significant noise exposure – such as canteens, restaurants and hotel rooms.

Application of SYSTEXX Active AcousTherm
Application with dispersion adhesive:
AcousTherm is applied exclusively using dispersion adhesive – spread evenly onto the wall with a paint roller or airless spray equipment. Not suitable for use with a wallpapering machine.
Recommended adhesive quantity: 225 g/m² (133 PG) or 350 g/m² (904 RW). Actual consumption depends on fabric structure and substrate condition.
⚠️ Important: SYSTEXX Active AcousTherm is not suitable for wet areas or damp rooms.
Drying time:
At normal room temperature and humidity (18 °C, 60 % RH), drying takes 12–24 hours.
Coating / Painting:
Once fully dry, apply a high-quality emulsion paint (wet scrub resistance class ≥ 2) evenly. Recommended sheen level: Matt or Silk Matt. The use of two-component (2K) coatings may impair acoustic performance and should be avoided where possible.
External corners:
At external corners, a corner bead profile must be installed (recommended: SYSTEXX corner profile 3840). Apply or bed this in before hanging the wallcovering.

AcousTherm is ideal for spaces with high demands on acoustic comfort and energy efficiency: canteens, restaurants, hotel rooms, offices, schools and hospitals. Also suitable for residential interiors where sound and thermal comfort are to be improved. The surface can be repainted multiple times without losing its texture.
