Why luxury wallpaper belongs in professional hands
With a simple wallpaper a small mistake hardly shows. With embossed, textile or large-patterned wallpapers, however, every inaccuracy is visible – and the rolls are expensive. What matters:
- Pattern repeat and match: the pattern must continue across all strips and around corners. Calculate it wrongly and rolls run short or the motif jumps.
- Invisible seams: non-woven wallpaper is butt-jointed. On textile and embossed surfaces no paste may reach the visible side.
- Plumb line, not the corner: walls and corners are rarely straight – especially in older buildings. The first strip is aligned with a plumb line, otherwise the whole pattern runs crooked.
- One batch: all rolls in a room should carry the same batch number so that no colour differences appear.
- The right paste: non-woven, heavy designer wallpapers and glass fabric need different adhesives.

Labour costs depend on roll size and number of rolls:
